Affix the track or pole before taking your measurements.
The track or pole should extend approx 6" beyond the window on either side to allow the curtains to be drawn back, off the window during the day.
For poles where eyelets are selected. Measure from the top of the pole, we recommend you position your pole at least 4 inches above the window.
Always use a metal tape measure, as cloth or plastic tape may stretch.
TO OBTAIN THE REQUIRED WIDTH
Measure the track or pole, not the window itself.
For tracks: Measure the width of the track from end
to end. If the
track overlaps in the middle you must include the overlap.
For poles: Measure the width of the pole between the
decorative
finials.
For working out the width of curtain you require. Measure the length of your track or pole. Pencil pleat curtains require fabric twice the width of the track or pole width. Therefore, if the measurement of your track is 90" or 229cms wide then a pair of curtains measuring at least 90" each would be perfect. As all the curtains are sold in pairs then this will enable you to obtain a good full look. if you prefer a fuller look to your curtain then simply buy the curtain at the next width up..
TO
OBTAIN THE REQUIRED LENGTH OF CURTAIN
For tracks: measure from the top of the track to allow
it to be hidden by the curtains.
For poles: measure from the underside of the curtain
ring to allow the pole to be seen above the curtains.
For poles where eyelets are selected. Measure from
the top of the pole, we recommend you
position your pole 10cms - 4 inches above the window.
These "Readymade" curtains are available in
up to four different lengths and the length you select is totally down
to your personal preference. By offering the drops that we do then almost
all required lengths should be catered for.
The sizes you will see are all shown with the width first, then the length.
